It was only a matter of time before someone decided to act on Audi’s rumored revival of the Horch nameplate and try and guess what such a car would look like.
Thedigital suit worn by the A8 adds a dual-tone paintjob and retro-styled wheels. The car also sports a modified rear bumper, special logos on the C pillars and upper part
of the boot lid, and slightly revised rear lights.
Renderings aside, Audi has already announcedplans for “a new, especially luxurious and prestigious derivative” of the A8 last month during its annual general meeting – but failed to provide further information.

Nonetheless, it was only last fall when a report claimed that they might revive the Horch nameplate to be used on a posher version of the flagship sedan. It should be powered by the twin-turbo, W12 engine, yet a V8 version will allegedly be offered later on. Given the high-end spec, performance and size of the car, it will inevitably challenge the likes of the new Bentley Flying Spurand Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

No official time frame has been provided for the unveiling of the range-topping A8, but, according to the initial report, it could happen in 2020 or 2021. By then, the outgoing A8 will have been facelifted, and a second rendering, coming from the same source, gives it a shot at imagining what the updated iteration could look like.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
